Female athlete of the year – Kenzie Kent, the two-sport athlete from Boston College, took the honors over a talented field of Boston Marathon winner Edna Kiplagat, Harvard fencer Adrienne Jarocki, BC softball slugger Tatiana Cortez, and Merrimack track star Carly Muscaro.

Kent is in her fourth year playing back-to-back seasons of hockey and lacrosse, which overlap by several months. She smashed the NCAA lacrosse tournament scoring record last May with 37 points in five games, topping the previous best of 26. She had 10 points (5 goals, 5 assists) in the championship game and was named tournament MVP despite not playing on a winning team.
